D2- Demonstrate how the technical and aesthetic properties of the media components meet the client brief

In my print advert I have included images of the sixth form building and students at Deyes this is because in the client brief we were told that “include some reference to the new builds recently introduced to the site” I have included an establishing shot of the sixth form building. These images that I have included also complete the requirement of “make reference to the overall student experience.” This is because of my images of students one is someone doing work in the common room and the other is someone laughing in the common room. This shows both the academic and social aspect of college @ Deyes.

The picture of the new sixth form building makes the college look appealing and may make students want to enrol there. The building is clean and new and shows off the college in a positive way, if the facilities are good people are more likely to want to go to the school

The picture of the students smiling in the common room shows that being in Deyes sixth form is a positive experience and that the pupils enjoy it. This may encourage pupils to enlist in the school and if they do then the advert has worked. In this image you can also see that the pupil is using a laptop this shows that there are things available to assist students with their work.

The picture of the student working shows that there is a work side to being at Deyes it isn't just fun in the background of this image you can see one of the classrooms. This shows that they are to a high standard and are good rooms.

In the client brief we were told that we had to include last years exam results in our adverts so to comply with this I have included them in both my print and audio advert. I stated that “In 2017 54% of A level results achieved at Deyes were A* to B.”

In the client brief we were told that the school wants the best GCSE students in the local area to reach this target audience I designed my print advert so that it could go on the side of a bus stop this would mean that it is seen by students in the Maghull area. Many students use public transport everyday
